This is the same old temple tradition. Debbi loves traditions. We went to the Shinto temple then the Shingon temple on New Years before we go to grandma and grandpa’s house for New Years lunch. You can read our fortunes for the year. I took each fortune in front of the person that it belongs to. If the fortune is not very good you tie it to the tree so the wind can blow it away. …Or something like that.
My favorite is the Shinto temple because it’s really a religion about nature. It’s often represented by the red gateway in nature. Google it.
