Maya loves those hats!

…not as much as Auntie Mona’s though.

Last weekend we all went to the outlet shops at the Citadel to buy daddy a COLUMBIA jacket (the brand not the school). She had fun running around the store trying on hats and making new friends. Then we went for a walk to try to catch up with mommy. Doesn’t she blend right in?

Maya… What’s that stuff on your face?

Maya helped daddy work in the garden today! We planted chard, beets, cabbage (probably the wrong season though), lettuce, green onions and kale. Don’t worry, I made sure she had a nice clean cardboard box to sit on so she wouldn’t get all dirty 🙂

Maya decide to take on the very important task of Earth Tester ….or taster? But it didn’t last long, she quickly moved up in ranks to Earth Tracker position where she learned how to make mud footprints through the kitchen, into the living room, across the rug, through the hall and into the bathroom where unsuspecting mommy was carefully tidying up… 😉 I knew Maya had successfully perfected the skill when I heard mommy yell out a gasp (all the way from out side!) …I’m so proud of her! 🙂

BTW, can anyone spare any chard seeds… We’re out.

Walking around the block

Just wanted to share… We’ve been walking around the block lately after I get home from work and before we eat dinner. …only a couple weeks after she started walking and she makes it around the block pretty easily. We pick up rocks, flower and things like that …and sometimes we want to taste them!???

You can see in this video how she tries to cross the street. I pick her up and put her back on the sidewalk. I’m trying to figure out how to not turn that into a game for her though. ..a dangerous game!

Sometimes she drops her hat (the one auntie Mona made! Thx auntie Mona), then I ask her, “where is your hat”? And she turns around and picks it up. It’s pretty cute. I wish you all could be there.

Anyway, Enjoy!

Shaolin Drunken Rabbit Technique

Maya practicing her drunken rabbit technique. No more little woosie baby stroller, period! Maya is very clear about that, even when we have to walk one mile to the farmers market.

This video was from last weekend. In only one week of practicing now she’s now able to walk around the block on her own.

Enjoy!
