Daddy’s Birthday Day

What a perfect day!

Because it was my birthday nobody was allowed to complain when I wanted to go hiking!!! Yay! 😉 so we went to Manoa falls. I was hoping for a little more mud. But didn’t really find any. Once everyone gets to the hike we always have such a fun time even though most of the time they complain all the way there.

Check our some of the gifts I got and the cards maya and sawyer made for me!!! Btw. On sawyer’s card, our house is the little house next to the big one. Our landlord lives in the big one. We live in the little one on the side 😉

After the hike we went to eat dimsum. My favorite. Although Amy…. “my nutritionist says…. “ my body does not like the dimsum! 🙁 It’s too good though. I’m sure they make it with GMO canola oil.

At the end of the day we went to eat my favorite burger at Fete restaurant and splurged a little on dairy free bread and some sorbet for desert! Yum!

Thanks to grandma for the shirt. Now I can save a little time by pointing to the shirt then speaking. 😉

Our new garden at Ainapo Home

We finally did it! We made a tiny garden after a year and a half. Hopefully if it can stay clean and tidy we can slowly extend it to the left.

We started by planting arugula, leeks, chard, lettuce and onions.

Hopefully we can get our compost going too.

We’ll keep you posted.

Sawyer got his first Shiner! Exciting!! ;)

Why do they call it shiner? I would call it a shadower.

Sawyer told me he got smacked in the head with a bowl. Not a ball, a bowl. Yes he cried. I wasn’t there though, otherwise I would have kicked that bowls ass 😉 It was when he was at school.

Maya’s Birthday Breakfast

After almost two years I guess it’s becoming a bit of a tradition to take advantage of all the beautiful resorts here by going out to eat at their buffets on special occasions like this. One of our favorites is the Kahala (used to be a Mandarin hotel like the one I’m working on now).

After the kids get older it wont be free for them. So we may taper off a little in the future, but for now we’re taking advantage of it as much as we can 😉

Some of these pictures are a little staged because of the wedding waterfall backdrop. But they were so cute we couldn’t resist.

Maya’s 7th Birthday Tea Party

…A little delayed in sending this from January 6th.

Maya and her friends enjoyed her tea party that grandma threw for her last year that she asked if she could do it again! It’s going to be hard to top this one next year though.

Thank you to grandma! for finding this place and arranging it for Maya again. Always such a fun time for all.

Thanks also to her close friends that all came to make it so much fun! Her friend Koto even returned from Japan early so she could make it this year.

I took advantage of the situation and made her carry all her presents by herself, haha. She didn’t hesitate for one second.

Maya and Sawyer Diving Practice

Mommy was not very happy about having to clean up the piles of clothes from their drawers and all the pillows.

…Look closely. Sawyer turned his turbo booster on and ripped a hole in his underpants!!! Lol.

New Years Day Tradition 2019

This is the same old temple tradition. Debbi loves traditions. We went to the Shinto temple then the Shingon temple on New Years before we go to grandma and grandpa’s house for New Years lunch. I didn’t take any pictures this year. But they are pretty much the same as last year. Check our the blog family.anastas.org

You can read our fortunes for the year. I took each fortune in front of the person that it belongs to. If the fortune is not very good you tie it to the tree so the wind can blow it away. …Or something like that.

My favorite is the Shinto temple because it’s really a religion about nature. It’s often represented by the red gateway in nature. Google it.

Ok. I did….
