24 years later… WE FINALLY MADE IT!

Debbi and I finally passed our architecture license exam for California called the CSE on Monday April 22nd.

We had a small get together to celebrate on Debbi’s birthday Sunday…What a nice birthday present huh!

Debbi started her architecture journey back in Hawaii at the University of Hawaii Manoa in 1989, transferred to USC In 1991 for Architecture and I started mine back in 1992 at USC where we first met.

Here are the photos for those of you who didn’t hear the news or couldn’t make it.

Oishii (Yummy) Miso Soup!

I left her at the table to grab something and I heard this slurping sound behind me. She grabbed the spoon and started feeding herself the miso soup which she loves …for now. I think when she says “shhhhh” she means oishii which means delicious in Japanese.

Houston, We have a problem!

*Maya’s a natural at architecture*. Don’t worry! WE WILL DO EVERYTHING IN OUR POWER TO MAKE SURE MAYA GETS INTO ANOTHER PROFESSION SO SHE CAN HAVE A GOOD LIFE! 😉

Junko-san (our nanny) had to take the Thursday and Friday off. Since mommy just finished her deadline at work on Wednesday (for this week at least …more to follow) mommy and Maya took the opportunity to go help daddy on his deadline (which was Friday) and say hi to the gang at CO Architects. BTW, congratulate mommy on getting her occupancy certificate from the inspectors for the hospital …and she did it on time!…. With many work weekends and help from nanny-Nobuko-san… Which btw, thank you for generously helping to watch Maya-chan on Friday, in spite of your work. We are very grateful to her for her generous help.

Yes… Daddy sits on that yellow yoga ball at work all day long for almost a year now. Second strongest core in the office …After coworker and yoga ball master Nisha who inspired me to “just do it!”.
