It was Maya’s Rose Ceremony for her first day of First Grade!!! What a big day for her! It happened to be Grandpas birthday today. And yesterday was Papa Sedo’s birthday too.

The honolulu Waldorf school website has a description of the Rose ceremony.

Sawyer will start his first day of kindergarten tomorrow too. So today he had to go to the nanny all by himself. Tomorrow he will be starting in Mrs Cindy Sydow’s kindergarten class. The same teacher Maya had. (She reminds me a lot of Eva. Take a look at Maya’s graduation pictures from the family blog by searching graduation in the search box and you’ll see the picture.)

Sawyer and I went to Costco last Saturday… oh man! It was 8/18/18!!! Three eights! …anyway…. The young man at the door was obviously not that experienced at doing the happy faces like the older ladies that usually do it, so the face came out kind of evil looking.

Sawyer had no trouble impersonating it! 😉 heeheee (evil laugh)

It’s just a matter of time befor everyone comes to visit us over here in hawaii. 😉 …a couple weekends ago, Sochan and Kochan came to visit. We went to eat at the Kahala hotel for brunch before their flight back home to LA.

Sawyer once again found himself in the pool with all his clothes on. 😉 …I think that’s the way childhood should be. Nothing can stop you from having too much fun. 😉

We all had to start going out to get their car to head back to the airport, but Sawyer had to have one last plate of delicious fruits before we left the buffet. Look for the image of Sawyer eating by himself.
