Mommy wasn’t willing to humiliate her children by putting on those embarrassing kiddy costumes. …But thank goodness Junko-San was!!! 🙂 How could a childhood be complete without some sweet humiliation. Thank you Junko for sharing Kari and Ichiro’s baby costumes and taking these great photos. EA

Sawyer’s first roll
…Not fat rolls… rolling over from his stomach to his back …But we missed it! …Typical second child syndrome. He was on his stomach one second, we turned our heads and looked back and he was on his back. Congrats Sawyer! What an achievement!! even though we missed it, we were there in spirit… well actually we were there in person, but we watched it in spirit! 😉

We haven’t taken a walk in more than a week!…
Here are some photos of a walk we just did together while mommy was at home slaving away trying to get dinner on the table!

All the weekly training has finally paid off!
Our weekend training rides to trader joes have finally paid off… She’s ready for her tricycle! Last week she just couldn’t wait for me any longer. She tried to climb up the bike on her own. Seems like a pretty clear sign to me. EA EA

Okinawan Festival with Tomo-san
We went to the Okinawan Association of America (OAA) to see Tomo-San (Nanny junko’s husband). We watched his great demonstration of his dojo. We didn’t know he was black belt level 6! Very nice.
Here is a really fun clip if maya standing in front of the stage copying the karate demonstrators. I’m also going to post several videos of us at the festival of Maya rocking out to some hula dancers along with some photos.
You’re going to have to check out the website to see those videos and more pictures since I can’t email them all because they would be too large.

Growing together
You can already see signs of them playing together with maya practicing tummy time with sawyer on the bed. …the one in the stroller is cute with Maya holding sawyer’s hand on our walk. The last picture you can see Maya found her perfect stepping stool. It’s not too high, so she won’t get too scared, It’s just the right height to give her the perfect boost. EA

Sunset is a difficult time…
…for babies. Sawyer always has a really hard time getting through it, he cries and sometimes Maya still gets a little bent out of shape. I think it’s because they know they are going through the night long drought, but some might say its a spiritual thing? Today Maya made it a little easier for Sawyer and helped him through it while we were on our evening walk. EA

Life is not always smooth sailing ;)
I can’t recall why she was crying (probably because I was taking these pictures, duhh!) but she seemed so cute to me I had to snap some pictures. I know she is probably going to hate me later in life when she sees these because I exploited her pain …and then I’m going to do it all over again!! 🙂 heeeheeeheeeee!
