Hawaii Envy

The plumeria tree is saying… “hey! This is not hawaii! Why is it getting so cold”.

If Maya can handle it, so can you little plumeria tree!

She’s definitely Japanese…

Thanks to Nanny Junko-San for teaching us this valuable trick.

Maya loves rice! She’ll stop everything along with her tantrums if we stick some rice in front of her. So Junko came up with a compromise… We put rice on top of her food and she’ll eat it. But sometimes she gets clever and only eats the tip of the spoon. Ooooh! …She’s always outsmarting us that waskely wabbit (…she’s the year of the rabbit).

Don’t worry all you brown rice lovers out there! She’ll settle for brown too, but white rice is better.

Take a look at what she does if we put the spoon in front of her without the rice…

“Look at all that yummy rice Maya! OH-NO, NO! That’s not avocado and kiwi and pear behind the rice, that’s just the reflection of the trees outside the window from the shiny spoon …see that’s what shiny metal does it reflects things, trust me! I’m polish I know what I’m talking about” 😉

“YUMM! Rice!”

“Nope!”

“When are you going to learn… I obviously don’t get my brains from you dad. Lets see some rice and you gotta deal”

“Nope!”

Danger Rabbit!

For some reason Maya has an attraction to danger!

She loves to play with warning labels, plastic bags, concrete steps, electrical cords, bleach, explosives, chains saws… you know, that kind of stuff 😉

…we were trying to get it out of her system. …Don't worry, it's only 120 volts and we have top of the line circuit breakers so she doesn't damage any of our computers. 🙂

Three generations of ladies, Itaya, Goto, Anastas, and a horse…

What to do?

Maya says: "…you better not put me on one of those! ….there you go, you did it!"

We had to cut the reel… Things got pretty ugly. Suffice it to say, Maya is not ready for horsie rides …we tried!

Bubbles…. BORING!!!

Mommy tried to entertain Maya with some bubbles a couple weekends back but she was focused on more exciting stuff, like eating leaves on the grass. …Plus they blow square bubbles at third street promenade anyway. Don’t quit your day job mommy! 🙂

Look maya-chan, BUBBLES!

…seriously mommy!?

Ooo! check out those exciting leaves just lying there on the grass, or is it laying??? …whatever, I’m not even one yet, I’ll figure it out later.
