Sorry for the delay … our time in hawaii has come and gone before I could send out any pictures to all you Maya fans. We spent time with Debbi’s family, Maya got to know her cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents and a little taste of the island of Oahu.

I’ll send updates over the next week to recap our trip.

Here is our first day in Honolulu back on December 22nd with Grandma and Grandpa Goto. …She seems like a completely different person after all the time in hawaii, having her first birthday party and then making it back home. …don’t worry, I’ll send pictures of the party and a lot more. Maya’s first Year birthday party… with all the aunties. The cake looked delicious, but unfortunately it wasn’t dairy free, so “NO DAIRY FOR YOU!” Maya! …yes call me the dairy nazi, but that’s the way it goes. Maybe next time around.

Maya’s first New year at the Shinto temple and Koboji Shingon Mission. It was drizzling at the shinto temple in case you were wondering what all those floating white dots were… Or maybe they were happy spirits coming to join in the celebration! 🙂

Maya didn’t quite know what to do with all the colorful boxes, but with a little help from mommy and daddy, she… still didn’t know what to do with the colorful boxes.
