Debbi and the kids and papa sedo and Rosie went to the Obon festival in west LA a couple weekends ago. Unfortunately I came a little late for the taiko drumming because we were eating Japanese Bbq at Manpuku, but I’m sure Sawyer liked it.
Take a look at this video of Sawyer pretend drumming on the table. I wouldn’t call it pretend… Looks like the real thing to me 😉
Debbi send some pictures of the taiko drumming if you have them.

Wish u took pictures of them dancing, the pool video was good, that net
thing looked fun!
Yah, not the best table manners (sorry you had to see that mom) but we already finished eating, if that counts. Didn’t take any video from the taiko performance, but it was pretty powerful. The kids loved dancing in the street with our friends in their special obon outfits. Just have one recent one of Maya as a “rock and roller”. Mommy will not let her get earrings for many years, but she thinks it’s cool to just have one; it makes her a rock and “roller” star.
We also went back to Mommy’s old jobsite for almost 3 years, Terranea Resort ar Rancho Palos Verdes (courtesy of her superintendent who was staying there as a guest since we cannot afford it ourselves). It was nice to go since we hadn’t been back since its opening. The kids loved the saltwater pools and maybe someday they will be able to use the slide.
