Last-last weekend was a triple first.
1. Maya started “scootch” crawling on Saturday. That’s big! Major milestone for her/us. All those boot camp hours of crunches and push-ups are starting to finally pay off. No rest for her though, we got walking-camp already on the calendar then swimming then triathlon training 😉 2. She started sitting in her high chair now that she’s strong enough to sit up on her own. Thanks to all those 100 stomach crunches a day. 3. Her first fireworks show. Which was on the Saturday before the fourth here at Santa Monica college. We walked a couple blocks to the corner to see them better and there were already about another 25 people there sitting on the curb. Interesting community mingling moment? But I was amazed that she was actually watching them …most of the time at least, when she wasn’t staring at the other weirdos on the corner besides us.
Finally, last two shots are of a cool house I saw here in Santa Monica in one of our walks where the stair pops out of the house and becomes a feature on the facade.
