So after the Best of Honolulu festival and our face painting we went to the Byodo-In temple for a lantern ceremony. …So Debbi got a lantern for Babcia and her grandmother to share since we’re on a budget 😉 jk. And just happen to be the first in line to put her lantern in the water and later she found out that this was the first lantern ceremony they’ve done at the temple… so that means Babcia’s and Grandma Itaya’s lantern was the very first of what will likely be a long tradition. Since there were so many people that came they said they’re going to do it every year now!

In case you catch it. Yes we forgot the “have” on the lantern. So just fill that in for us while you’re reading it.
